My subscription began with this issue as a Christmas present from my daughter. However, I have all the back issues and can state the magazine is nothing short of outstanding. Not an adventure magazine nor the typical Medieval Gothic magazine which seem to be everywhere, the articles in MW are for the serious armchair historian who has a genuine interest in the realities of the middle ages. No Gothic horror or Templar gold here but only facts. Well done MW! Review by Dan (Posted on 5/24/2014)
