Issue 138: Seize Epirus

To satisfy Mussolini's ambitions of recreating the Roman empire, the Royal Italian army embarked on a series of campaigns in Mediterranean. Come 1939, the Italians had conquered Albania, thereby establishing a foothold in the Balkans. Then, in the fall of 1940, it was Greece's turn. Unfortunately for the Italian army, and unsurprisingly for any student of history, the terrain was not conducive to a rapid advance. Add in determined Greek defenders and the offensive was not destined to do very well.
