Ancient History Online - New and Improved

You’ve read the magazines, you’ve read the PDFs, now you can read Ancient History in a whole new way – Ancient History Online!

We have been hard at work creating a new online version of the magazine, which will combine the best elements of the physical and PDF versions into one format.

Like the PDFs, if you have a digital device, you can read the magazine wherever you are – no need to carry the physical copy anywhere it might get damaged! However, unlike the PDF version – which can have some formatting issues – the online version allows you to see the magazine in its full double-page spread, as it was designed to be read, complete with double-page features and high-resolution images. If you want to, you can also read the online version in a single-page view, just like the PDFs. In addition to the standard layout, in the online version you can also access an enhanced reading mode, which simplifies the format and makes reading on a small screen much easier.

In Ancient History Online, two-page spreads are now seemless

This isn’t just about offering readers a new way to enjoy the magazine – with Ancient History Online you will have access to the entire back catalogue of Ancient History. If you want to learn about the Etruscans or early Christianity, everything is just a click away, with a handy search function to help track down particular articles or topics in no time.

Choosing Ancient History Online is entirely voluntary. Existing digital subscriptions will not change. Yet if you do already have a digital subscription and want to access Ancient History Online, all you need to do is upgrade your current subscription.

A subscription to Ancient History Online gives you access to the magazine's full back catalogue

You can try out this new way of experiencing Ancient History for free for a week. After that, if you want to subscribe to Ancient History Online, it only costs €5.95/£6.00/US$7.00 per month. With this subscription, not only do you get access to the online archive, but you will also still receive your PDF version of the magazine, just like the standard digital subscription.
