Who's the new editor?

Hi everyone,

In the last few blogposts, we announced an editorial switch. But you may wonder, who is the new editor? Well, that would be me. My name is Erin and I’m 24 years old. Currently, I’m finishing my studies in Medieval History and in order to do that, I’m writing my thesis about King Arthur. (For those who want to know more: I’m researching wether Malory’s Le morte d’Arthur can be classified as a mirror of princes or not.)

I started working at Karwansaray as an intern about 3 months ago. As part of my internship, I made the Medieval Warfare survey to find out what you, the readers, think of the magazine, what we can improve, and what should remain the same. Now, the survey is finished, and I’m writing a report about my findings. I’m also responsible for The Art of Ancient Warfare, a special deal for the backers of the Kickstarter to fund Ancient History Magazine. Conclusion: I have no time to copy files, make coffee or do other stereotypical things interns do in movies, but it is still a joke at the office.

When I’m not working or studying, I like music. I have currently at huge Spotify addiction and I love the radio function to find new bands and songs. I also love watching movies and going to festivals. Unfortunately, I don’t have much time to visit them, because I’m working or studying most of the time. Luckily, I have time this weekend to go to a festival in Lisse, in The Netherlands. And Monday, it’s back to work and writing a new blog.

Now you know who I am, at least for a little bit.The rest I’ll save for other blogs.
I hope to meet some (or many) of you in the future, hope you’ll enjoy my blogs and, of course, I hope you’ll enjoy Medieval Warfare even a little bit more once I put my mark on it.

See you soon!
Erin
