The Hundred Years War: A People's History

The Hundred Years War (1337-1453) dominated life in England and France for well over a century. It became the defining feature of existence for generations. No one was unaffected by the struggle be they knights, clerics, women, peasants, soldiers, peacemakers, or kings. The long war reshaped the nature of governance in England and France and fundamentally altered peoples’ perceptions of themselves and of their national character.

In this lecture David Green presents his new book The Hundred Years War: A People’s History. Given at Harlaxton College on October 27, 2014.
