Theme: Generals and Commanders
Release: October 2025
Theme: The Roman legion in the second century AD
Release: December 2025
The second century begins with a great war of conquest, and ends with another civil war between pretenders to the throne. Between those two extremes, there were changes in equipment, the rise of career officers, and the introduction of campaigns fought with detachments, instead of uprooting the entire legion.
Theme: Alexander the Great, pt.2
Release: February 2026
We looked at the rise of Macedonia, the campaign into Asia Minor, and the Siege of Tyre in past issues. Now, we have come to the great showdown between Alexander and Darius. With fantastic numbers of troops, contradictory sources, and a lunar eclipse, this should have plenty of meat for us to chew on.
Theme: Augustus' German campaigns
Release: April 2026
Apart from the Varian Disaster, we have barely addressed the first emperor's campaigns into Germania Magna. High time we changed that. This would be a great opportunity to look at Germanic warriors, early Imperial legionaries and auxiliaries, complex logistics, some famous characters, and battles.
