What can Conflict Archaeology tells us about medieval warfare?

A relatively new field is conflict archaeology - the study of past battlefields and places affected by warfare. A lot of new research has been emerging, offering insights into medieval battlefields.

The European Association of Archaeologists has a great Youtube channel, where they post many videos of the papers given at their conferences. In the last couple of months, they have been posting lectures from their 23rd Annual Meeting, which was held in the Dutch city of Maastricht in 2017. Here are three videos, the first two which have medieval case studies, while the third offers a broader look at the field.
