Issue 93 - The Siege of Grolle

Issue 93 of Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy looks at the Eighty Years' War. While most of the articles focus on the earlier years of this conflict, our online article tackles the Siege of Grolle, which happened in the second half of the war, after a twelve year break in the action. The residents of Grolle, or Groenlo as it is now known, continue to commemorate the siege to this day, with a huge reenactment held in the same location ever two years.
