As Usual. Outstanding

I was very impressed by "The Lollian Disaster". It did seem like the Germans had it right about looking for inherent legion characteristics that the Germans might be able to exploit to their advantage (like attacking when the legion(s) had minimal room to manuever or couldn't protect an exposed flank). Keep up the good work!

i would like to see an expansion of the news about recent (archaeologic) discoveries - especially if it sheds new light on warfare / equipment in poorly documented periods

My interest is mainly first century Roman history along the northwestern frontier of the empire. Well written and researched variety of articles by respected authors and academia that highlight the theme of each magazine. There are always new discoveries and interpretations of archeological evidence, and one of the best ways to offer continued learning is through the forum offered by Ancient Warfare magazine. Keep up the excellent work...there is always an audience!

Read it all, very enjoyable. Hoping something other than Romans will feature in next issue though.

The service was great as always.

Very useful coverage of Rome's early germanic campaigns. From hindsight given the later germanic attacks on the empire, one might have recommended that Augustus and his successors pursue the conquest as doggedly as the Romans did in Spain.

Really enjoyed the issue, the focus on one area worked for me. Article quality was excellent again, illustrations really bought the text to life. I really enjoy the recent archeology feature.
