Community painting for Advent 2025

As part of the run-up to Christmas, the Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy team has been painting up a bunch of command models for our Advent Calendar. We asked the wargaming community what they had on their painting tables over the Christmas period. Here are some of the replies we received.

Battlebrush Studios posted this on Bluesky. He painted up the beastmen shaman with the raised axe, courtesy of a Christmas mini exchange with a friend.

Sam R has been busy painting more 40K Space Marines. His current projects are Raven Guard, more Ultramarines, and Krieg Imperial Guard. Judging by the picture, he's also doing 30K Imperial Fists.

Jon Y has just finished a set of stables from the Things from the Basement Wild West range. This terrain will be great for actions set south of the border.

Paul M has been working on some Republican Indians. He's finished both infantry and cavalry.

Segundo P B has painted up some 3D prints of German Fallschirmjäger. These appear to be RKX miniatures, if I'm not mistaken.

Joe McG is painting up an impressive fleet of LRDG vehicles. The models are a mix of Perry Miniatures, Warlord Games, and Offensive Miniatures ranges. By the looks of it, they are all compatible with each other.

Steve W posted some 10mm Napoleonic Russian Dragoons. These impressive models look like Pendraken Russians

George MC on Bluesky has been working on some 1/72 Italieri British for Waterloo, as well as an Sdkfz 250 in the same scale by the same manufacturer.

Encanis has been working on L'Orient from Warlord Games. She will make a grand addition to any French Black Seas collection.

We've had an excellent community response to our Advent Command feature. What are you working on in the run up to Christmas? #WSSAdvent25
