Medieval Romance Combat Interpretation

Have you ever wondered how realistic those battles that we read about in romances might actually be? Afterall, the audience for romance has been argued to be made up in part by those who had real experience of arms and battle. Kaja Sadowski, David R. Packer, Courtney Rice, and Jordan Both from Valkryie Western Martial Arts Assembly give an introduction to historical weaponry, and then analyse some battle scenes from medieval romances in the context of what we know of late medieval swordplay.
