Do you want to be the editor of AW?
I confess I was guilty of 'burying the lede' in my previous blog about my decision to step away from the helm at AW (though I'm very much going to be looming as I continue to try to captain the Karwansaray ship). So let's make it very concrete: if you're interested in taking the unique project of Ancient Warfare magazine to the next level and you think you've got the chops, time is running out.
The formal deadline is tomorrow, October 1, but as I completely forgot to post this reminder, I'll give it another two weeks. If you're editor-minded, think of Roman legionaries [hoplites, phalangites, and other ancient varieties are acceptable] at least twice as often as any sane person, do not hesitate and let me know. The formal application sheet can be downloaded here.
And yes, it'll obviously be a plus if have a photo of yourself in that silly t-shirt. You can get one here. 😉

I’ve been a subscriber off and on for decades …. mostly into the Republican times of Roma - I just saw the post opening …. so I’m just rushing this out to you so you I have an interest. I’ve been an editor of novels for about 12 years and my own small publisher for about 5 years; I only accept a few books a year to do them well – so I would time for this – and totally understand DEADLINES !
